- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- Nori seaweed sheets
- Soy sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Wash the rice: Rinse sushi rice under cold water until excess starch is removed.
- Cook the rice: Cook in a rice cooker or pot with 2 ½ cups of water until absorbed.
- Prepare the seasoning: Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a bowl until dissolved.
- Flavor the rice: Pour the mixture over warm rice and fold gently.
- Slice the Spam: Cut Spam into slices and pan-fry until golden brown.
- Shape the musubi: On a nori sheet, layer seasoned rice, Spam, and more rice; wrap tightly.
- Cut into pieces: Use a sharp knife to slice musubi and serve with soy sauce.
